We’re looking for a Quality Control Technician (Inspector) to join a cutting-edge organisation at the forefront of motion technology. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on high-precision assemblies and components that shape the future of automotive and motorsport simulation.

About the Role

In this hands-on role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring the precision, reliability, and quality of complex assemblies across metal, composite, and electrical systems. You’ll use advanced metrology tools and traditional inspection techniques to verify that every component meets the highest engineering standards.

You’ll also help refine inspection processes, support supplier quality activities, and contribute to continuous improvement across the business. Occasional travel to suppliers and customer sites will be required.

Key Responsibilities

Quality & Inspection

  • Inspect incoming, in-process, and final components and assemblies to verify compliance with specifications and drawings.
  • Use a variety of precision measurement tools including Leica laser trackers, 3D scanners, CMMs, and conventional hand tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges).
  • Record and analyse measurement data, preparing accurate inspection reports and documentation.
  • Support calibration and maintenance of inspection tools and equipment.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing quality and efficiency.
  • Assist in developing inspection processes, templates, and work instructions.

Collaboration & Supplier Management

  • Work with suppliers to align inspection methods for made-to-spec components.
  • Conduct supplier inspections and support quality checks at supplier and customer sites as needed.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven experience in inspection or quality control within precision engineering.
  • Practical experience with dimensional inspection tools, such as laser trackers, CMMs, or 3D scanning systems.
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings, tolerances, and GD&T.
  • Skilled in producing accurate inspection reports and documentation.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Flexible and adaptable to new tools, processes, and environments.
  • Strong communicator with excellent collaboration skills.
  • Takes ownership of tasks and delivers results under pressure.

Why Join?

You’ll be part of a forward-thinking engineering team working on pioneering technology that’s setting new benchmarks in motion simulation. Expect a supportive, innovative environment where your attention to detail and technical expertise will have a real impact.
