Health & Safety Manager


A pioneering company in the high-performance engineering sector is seeking a proactive and experienced Health & Safety Manager to join its growing team. The organisation designs and manufactures cutting-edge driving simulator technology used across the automotive, motorsport, and related industries. Known for its commitment to precision and performance, the company continues to expand rapidly, working with some of the world’s most recognisable brands.

About the Role


As Health & Safety Manager, you will play a key strategic and operational role in enhancing and maintaining robust Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) systems across the business. Working closely with Operations and Engineering teams, you’ll be responsible for driving compliance, embedding a strong safety culture, and ensuring that policies and procedures are implemented, understood, and followed at every level.


Key Responsibilities


  • Ensure all HSE activities meet legal compliance and align with company policies, procedures, and standards
  • Conduct regular audits, identify areas for improvement, report findings, and take appropriate corrective actions
  • Promote and embed a strong health and safety culture throughout the business
  • Deliver training sessions, toolbox talks, risk assessments, and induction programmes
  • Develop and maintain Safe Systems of Work for all business operations and assets
  • Lead or support investigations into incidents to identify root causes and implement corrective measures
  • Design and roll out health and safety training initiatives for employees
  • Monitor HSE performance through effective measurement systems and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with HR on occupational health matters and support the development of relevant risk assessments and method statements
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and external suppliers on health and safety issues

About You


  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent Health & Safety qualification (essential)
  • Relevant degree and membership of a professional body (e.g. IOSH) desirable
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a standalone or managerial HSE role
  • Background in a manufacturing or engineering environment
  • Strong knowledge of H&S legislation and industry best practice
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
  • Passionate about fostering a safe and supportive workplace culture
