Overview of the Role

Reporting to the Associate Registrar & Director of Corporate Services, the Information Management & Data Analytics Lead will play a key role in overseeing the organization’s data governance, analytics strategies, and reporting frameworks. This position serves as a strategic partner to leadership and cross-functional teams, ensuring data integrity, accessibility, and effective utilization to support informed decision-making and advance the organization’s strategic objectives.

With a focus on accuracy, innovation, and efficiency, the Information Management & Data Analytics Lead will develop and implement data management policies, leveraging analytics tools to provide meaningful insights and reporting. This role also drives the integration of emerging technologies to enhance data accessibility, streamline processes, and support the organization’s ongoing digital transformation.


Your areas of responsibility will include, but are not limited to:

  • Data Governance & Integrity: Develop and implement information management policies to ensure accuracy, consistency, and security while upholding high standards of data integrity and compliance.
  • Analytics & Reporting: Leverage analytics tools to generate data-driven reports that are meaningful, insightful, and support decision-making across the organization.
  • Data Inventory & Classification: Oversee data inventory and classification, ensuring secure storage, proper categorization, and adherence to organizational standards and privacy requirements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with stakeholders to align data strategies with organizational objectives and maximize the effective use of data in decision-making.
  • Technology & Process Optimization: Facilitate the integration of new technologies to enhance data accessibility, streamline workflows, and improve overall efficiency in information management.


Ideal Candidate

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Management, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field is preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in data governance, information management, analytics, reporting, business continuity, or digital transformation in an organizational setting.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing data governance frameworks and information management policies. Experience in a regulated industry (e.g., government, healthcare, legal, etc.) is considered an asset.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining reporting environments (e.g., Power BI) to support decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to streamline processes and implement solutions.
