Role Overview


As a Freelance Recruitment Consultant, you will own recruiting delivery within an assigned vertical or functional area and manage full-cycle recruiting across active searches. You will partner directly with hiring managers and internal leadership to deliver high-quality candidates while operating with autonomy in a performance-driven environment.


This is a remote, commission-based, 1099 opportunity designed for experienced recruiters who want flexibility, accountability, and meaningful earning potential.



Key Responsibilities


  • Own full-cycle recruiting including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and candidate presentation
  • Manage multiple searches within an assigned vertical or functional specialty
  • Build and maintain strong candidate pipelines and long-term talent relationships
  • Deliver consistent, high-quality candidate submissions aligned to client expectations
  • Conduct structured candidate evaluations and maintain strong hiring manager alignment
  • Maintain accurate activity tracking, documentation, and communication updates
  • Collaborate with leadership on search strategy, calibration, and performance optimization
  • Uphold high standards for professionalism, compliance, and candidate experience



Performance Expectations


  • Own recruiting delivery within an assigned vertical or functional area
  • Consistently meet defined weekly and monthly KPIs tied to pipeline health, candidate quality, and client delivery
  • Maintain strong submission-to-interview and interview-to-offer conversion quality
  • Demonstrate consistent pipeline activity, candidate engagement, and follow-through
  • Operate with accountability, reliability, responsiveness, and professional judgment
  • Maintain accurate reporting and communication on search progress and outcomes


KPIs will be clearly defined during onboarding and calibrated based on role complexity, market conditions, and recruiter experience.



Required Qualifications


  • 2+ years of experience in agency or contingency recruiting
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage full-cycle recruiting
  • Strong sourcing, screening, and candidate qualification capabilities
  • Ability to recruit across technical and non-technical roles as needed
  • Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
  • Comfortable working remotely in a self-directed environment
  • Strong ethical standards and professionalism



Preferred Experience


  • Experience recruiting within a defined vertical or niche specialization
  • Familiarity with ATS, CRM platforms, and modern sourcing tools
  • Prior experience working as an independent contractor or consultant
  • Experience supporting retained or high-touch search engagements
