Business Development Officer – SBA Lending

About the Role:
Our client, one of the top SBA lenders in the U.S., is expanding its nationwide team of Business Development Officers. This is a full-time, remote position for SBA loan originators who have a proven track record of funding $20MM+ annually. The right candidate has a hunter mentality, actively develops their own referral network, and is experienced in originating SBA 7(a) and 504 loans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Originate SBA 7(a), SBA 504, and other commercial loans
- Build and maintain relationships with brokers, CPAs, and referral partners
- Manage deals through the full loan lifecycle with credit and operations support
- Track and manage deal flow using Salesforce or other CRM tools
- Consistently meet or exceed production goals
- Collaborate with internal leadership to refine sales and marketing strategy
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of SBA or commercial lending experience
- Proven production of $20MM+ per year in SBA loans (7a and/or 504)
- Strong understanding of credit, loan structuring, and underwriting processes
- Active referral network strongly preferred
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- Must be based outside of California and Texas
