Position: CNC Machinist

Location: Stroud

Contract: Permanent | Full-Time

Shift: Double Day Shift (Earlies/Lates)

Salary: £32,000 – £38,000 DOE + Overtime

A well-established and growing manufacturing business is looking to recruit a CNC Machinist to join their production team on a double day shift. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled CNC Machinist who takes pride in quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Set and operate CNC machines (milling or turning) to produce precision components
  • Work from detailed engineering drawings and specifications
  • Carry out tool changes, offsets, and basic programme edits where required
  • Inspect own work using measuring equipment (micrometers, verniers, gauges)
  • Ensure parts are manufactured to tight tolerances and quality standards
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Work closely with production and quality teams to meet deadlines
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and efficiency initiatives


The Person:

  • Previous experience as a CNC Machinist, CNC Setter/Operator or similar
  • Experience with CNC milling or turning (Fanuc, Mazak or similar controls beneficial)
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Strong attention to detail and quality-focused mindset
  • Flexible to work a double day shift pattern
