Key Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of engine operability and testing, leading all activities within the on-site test cells.
  • Develop and continuously improve testing tools, instrumentation, and data processing systems that drive better insight and performance.
  • Lead end-to-end propulsion system test campaigns—from planning and setup to analysis and validation.
  • Conduct Sea-Level Static, simulated altitude, and flight-condition tests across both in-house and deployed sites.
  • Partner directly with customers on integration, flight testing, and troubleshooting, ensuring successful system performance.
  • Design or modify test components, fixtures, and flow benches—owning the entire lifecycle from concept to validation.
  • Contribute to the company’s Technology Roadmap, helping define the next generation of testing infrastructure and engine development capability.


Qualifications | What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related Engineering discipline (Master’s preferred).
  • 7+ years in the gas turbine or propulsion industry, with 5+ years of hands-on test engineering experience.
  • Proven ability to design, instrument, and operate test systems for mechanical and fluid performance testing.
  • Deep understanding of GD&T, ASME standards, and engineering first principles.
  • Experience leading Test Concept Reviews (TCRs) and Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs).
  • Strong knowledge of FADEC, ECUs, and communication protocols.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and leadership communication skills.
  • U.S. Citizenship required (due to export-controlled work).


Preferred Experience

  • Familiarity with defense and aerospace propulsion standards (MIL-STD).
  • Knowledge of CAN Aerospace protocols.
  • Experience working with aviation fuels (Jet-A, JP-8, JP-10) and hazardous operations.
  • Background in electrical systems design for testing infrastructure and engine components.
