A mission-driven nonprofit is hiring a temporary Program Manager. The Program Manager provides interim support to ensure the successful execution of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) initiatives across the organization. This role is responsible for coordinating employee resource groups (ERGs), cross-functional committees, external partnerships, and enterprise-wide programs while ensuring projects, communications, and operational priorities remain on track. This is a full-time, remote, temporary role.

SCHEDULE: 9-5 Central Time

DURATION: Temporary

HOURLY RATE: $34/hr - $37/hr

The Program Manager partners with internal stakeholders, external organizations, and leadership to manage implementation, governance, reporting, communications, and program operations. 


 Our Ideal Candidate:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of program or project management experience, preferably within a nonprofit, mission-driven, or corporate environment.
  • Experience with Asana or Monday.com.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional initiatives involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Experience facilitating meetings, tracking action items, and managing implementation plans.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and documentation skills.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Experience using project management and collaboration tools is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams.


How You Will Spend Your Day:

  • Manage day-to-day operations for Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), including meeting coordination, governance activities, communications, documentation, and implementation tracking.
  • Support cross-functional steering committees by coordinating meetings, agendas, action items, follow-up activities, and project milestones.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for existing external partners, coordinating meetings, sponsorship activities, partnership deliverables, and ongoing communications.
  • Manage multiple DEIB projects simultaneously by maintaining project plans, timelines, implementation trackers, dashboards, and status reports.
  • Prepare leadership updates, reports, presentations, meeting materials, and implementation summaries.
  • Coordinate communications across internal stakeholders, ensuring timely follow-up on requests, commitments, and action items.
  • Collect, analyze, and synthesize program data to support reporting, progress tracking, and leadership decision-making.
  • Maintain organized documentation, governance records, meeting notes, and knowledge transfer materials to ensure program continuity.
  • Identify project risks or issues and escalate strategic, policy-related, or sensitive matters to leadership as appropriate.
