We are currently searching for a temporary Bookkeeper for an Association Management company. This role is part-time and on-site in Rockville, MD.

 

Position Title: Bookkeeper

Organization Type: Association Management

Location: On-site, Rockville, MD

Duration: Temp, ongoing

Schedule: Part-time; 16 hours a week (2 days)

Pay Rate: $26-33/hour

 

Is This Your Dream Job? This Bookkeeper will support the financial operations of two full-time clients, the organization itself, and our building. The ideal candidate will have strong bookkeeping skills, accuracy in data entry, and the ability to work independently.

 

Our Ideal Candidate:

  1. 10 + years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting required
  2. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel
  3. Proven success in managing several books/accounts at once
  4. Experience with non-profit accounting and bookkeeping practices.
  5. Strong data entry skills and a database management background
  6. Ability to work independently
  7. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  8. Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities
  9. Excellent communication and time-management skills
  10. Experience bookkeeping for an association is preferred

 

How You'll Spend Your Day:

  • Run the financial operations for two full-time internal clients, in addition to internal financial operations of management company and its small building 
  • Process accounts payable and maintain accurate vendor records
  • Perform bank reconciliations for multiple entities
  • Prepare regular financial statements
  • Organize and maintain accounting records for annual audits
  • Enter and update basic member data as needed
  • Support general administrative and accounting tasks as assigned
