A mission-driven nonprofit is seeking a reliable, professional Events Assistant to support community outreach during a major international soccer tournament in Dallas. This is a part-time temporary role, located in Dallas, Texas.

LOCATION: Dallas, Dos Equis Pavilion, TX 75210

POSITION TITLE: Event Assistant

SCHEDULE: 5 Sundays, 3-hour shifts- June 14 – 9:30—12:30, June 21 – 8:30—11:30, June 28 – 11:30—2:30, July 5 – 12:30—3:30, July 19 – 11:30—2:30

DURATION: Temporary 

Pay- $20/hr

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys interacting with the public, supporting volunteers, and helping ensure events run smoothly. The Events Assistant will serve as the primary on-site support person for the Organization’s booth, assisting with setup, volunteer coordination, and general event operations. 

 Our Ideal Candidate:

• Reliability and punctuality are essential
• Professional, friendly, and presentable demeanor
• Comfortable interacting with volunteers and the public
• Ability to work independently and follow event instructions
• Ability to stand and move around for the duration of the shift
• Previous event, customer service, hospitality, or volunteer experience is a plus

Dress Code:

• Khaki pants
• Tennis shoes
• Organization’s red event shirt provided

How You Will Spend Your Day:

• Open and set up the event booth before each shift
• Ensure booth materials are organized, presentable, and ready for visitors
• Welcome and engage attendees in a friendly and professional manner
• Support and assist event volunteers throughout each shift
• Provide general event support and help maintain a positive guest experience
• Monitor booth operations and communicate any issues to event leadership
