POSITION: Recruiter
LOCATION: 1 of our 4 cities - NYC, DC, SF, CHI (Hybrid Schedule)
SCHEDULE: 8:30AM-5:30PM
SALARY: $50,000 - $60,000 + uncapped commission
REPORTS TO: Director of Talent Acquisition
Is This Your Dream Job? The Recruiter will partner with our nonprofit clients to help them identify top talent to fill their organization’s vacancies. You will source, evaluate and manage candidates while working closely with the Client Services Team to align client needs with ideal candidates. This role caters to individuals with a nonprofit background and some exposure to recruitment who thrive in dynamic environments, set and achieve goals, and have a growth mindset. The Recruiter role is designed as a production based role where results lead to increases in compensation. Target compensation for a Recruiter in their first year, including commission is about $65,000 -$70,000. Year 2 goal $70,000-$85,000. Commission is uncapped and potential is limitless!
Our Ideal Candidate:
· Prior nonprofit experience strongly preferred
· Some experience recruitment/hiring experience required, including internships
· Bachelor’s degree preferred
· Experience working in a fast-paced or production-based environment preferred
· People-person with excellent written and verbal communication skills
· A positive attitude, curious and receptive to feedback
· Accountable, responsible, and not afraid to ask questions
· Ability to work in-office three days a week (Tuesday-Thursday) and attend in-person events outside of regular business hours
How You Will Spend Your Day:
· Source and attract nonprofit talent for roles in Administration, Development, Finance, Communications, Programs, HR, etc to build a pool of highly qualified talent.
· Utilize tools like LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed Resume Bank and our ATS (Loxo) to contact passive candidates in the market
· Conduct thorough phone and face-to face interviews to assess candidates’ skills, professionalism and fit for the pool and/or open positions
· Partner with Client Services team to understand client open positions and match them with ideal talent in the market
· Manage talent through the interview and offer process, pre-closing them throughout the process
· Manage offer negotiations and serve as liaison between the client and candidate, ensuring a positive outcome for all involved
· Once hired, regularly check in on placed talent to ensure a good fit for both the candidate and client
· Accurately log notes in our ATS, tracking candidate screening materials and their progress in the job pipeline
· Attend in person networking events, to establish self as expert in the nonprofit hiring space
· With guidance from Director of Talent Acquisition, track performance data include submissions to client interviews, submissions to hired and overall placement rate, making adjustments to improve efficiencies.
