We are currently in search of a Development Coordinator for a Religious Nonprofit. This position is a Full-Time - Hybrid- Temp to Hire Position.


ORGANIZATION TYPE: Religious Nonprofit

LOCATION: Downtown Chicago

POSITION TITLE: Development Coordinator

SCHEDULE: 30 - 40 hours a week, 8 am - 4 pm, Monday - Thursday in the Office, Friday Remote

DURATION: Temporary to Permanent

HOURLY RATE: $25.00/hr - $27.00/hr

Permanent Salary- $60,000 - $65,000

 

Is This Your Dream Job?  The Development Associate will work closely with the Development team to implement effective grants management with a particular focus on efficiency and collaboration. The development Associate will report to the Associate Director of Development.


Our Ideal Candidate:


  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • 2-5 years in the Development field.
  • Experience with back office functions related to gift processing, data entry, and reporting.
  • High energy and passion for the organization's mission and curiosity to learn.
  • Familiar with using donor databases
  • Flexibility to adjust hours to meet deadlines and the needs of the organization.


How You Will Spend Your Day:


  1. Assist with and complete administrative tasks for the Development department, as needed. Primary functions include drafting emails, data entry, scheduling, and coding expenses, executing contracts, coordinating vendor payments, taking minutes, providing and tracking to-do items, and other operational tasks to improve the overall organization and efficiency of the department.
  2. Manage grant portals: record passwords and login information, create a new folder for each proposal in our Box.com account and Google Drive, set up a Google Doc for the portal narrative by copying all the text fields and character limits from within the portal, and create a list of necessary attachments.
  3. Assist with business calendars by scheduling and coordinating meetings and appointments as necessary.
  4. Assist with data entry and monitoring in the Salesforce database.
  5. Regularly check for individual donations and alert staff to new major donor contributions.
  6. Make initial entry of key grant information within one week of receiving the grant agreement.
  7. As grants are awarded, the Associate will manage a checklist of essential functions that must be completed within one week of the award.
  8. Researching our current and growing list of prospects.
  9. Conducting new prospect research.
  10. Assisting with data entry.
  11. Processing corporate gifts.
  12. Ensure that all individual donations are entered and acknowledged in a timely manner.
