Do you have experience in grant writing?

We are currently in search of a Grant Writer for a Child Advocacy Center based in Newark, NJ. This is a part-time, temp-to-perm position with an anticipated hourly rate between $32-$35/hr commensurate on experience. This role is expected to begin ASAP.

LOCATION: Remote with a few on-site days in Newark, NJ

POSITION TITLE: Grant Writer

SCHEDULE: Part-time, flexible schedule, 20 hours per week

DURATION: Temporary to permanent

HOURLY RATE: $32-$35/hour

Is This Your Dream Job? The Grant Writer will research and draft grant proposals, assist with grant planning and submission timelines, and collaborate with program staff, with a focus on grants related to child abuse, neglect, or general victim services. The Grant Writer will be mostly remote, with a few on site days as needed, and work can be done outside of the traditional 9am-5pm hours.

Our Ideal Candidate:

• Grant writing experience (foundation, corporate, etc.)
• History of writing successful grant
• Ability to research grants
• Having fundraising database experience in a plus
• Experience writing grants focused on child abuse/neglect, or general victim services is a major plus
• Open to coming into the Newark, NJ office on occasion

How You Will Spend Your Day:

•  Writing and researching smaller foundation and corporate grants
• Conducting background research to support proposals
• Assisting with grant planning and submission timelines
