Reporting directly to the President, this exciting role starts with managing core financial activities as well as an integral role in shaping the future growth and sustaining its strong financial health.
Key Responsibilities
- Champion strategic initiatives to enhance inventory management, budgeting accuracy, forecasting, and robust 13-week cash flow planning.
- Proactively improve Accounts Receivable processes, significantly reducing outstanding days, and streamline Accounts Payable cycles.
- Own and maintain accuracy in internal controls, reporting mechanisms, and critical business applications.
- Deliver insightful financial reporting and analytics to empower strategic business decisions.
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end closings, payroll processing, workman’s compensation, knowledge of medical insurance and liability insurance.
- Mentor and build a cohesive and accountable team through effective leadership and clear communication.
- Act as the trusted accounting partner collaborating closely with Sales, Operations, and IT departments.
- Partner with leadership on implementation in process from Great Plains and Fieldpoint to NetSuite.
- Safeguard company resources, acting as the professional and visible representative of the accounting function.
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, particularly adept at delivering sensitive messages and effectively navigating organizational change.
- Integrity and professionalism with a proven ability to handle confidential matters.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting and CPA certification preferred.
- Demonstrated hands-on expertise in detailed accounting functions.
- Proven track record in significantly enhancing all financial processes.
- Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking capabilities, utilizing data-driven insights for growth.
- Strong use of technology especially Excel and Microsoft products.
- Exceptional organizational and leadership abilities, capable of developing and managing a dedicated team.
