today! We are currently looking for a Fleet Safety Supervisor to join our team.
Job Summary:
The Fleet Safety Supervisor is responsible for but not limited to developing, implementing, and
overseeing safety and training programs to ensure a safe and compliant work environment for plant
personnel, maintenance personnel, sub-contractors, and visitors. This role involves conducting safety
audits, identifying potential hazards, and providing training to employees on safety protocols and
procedures.
Responsibilities include:
1.Understand and comply with all federal, state, and company health, safety, and environmental
requirements.
2.Monitor, oversee, and ensure compliance for the Shops/Maintenance Departments.
3.Plan, implement, administer, and coordinate equipment maintenance safety training programs.
4.Be proactive in creating a stronger safety culture by undertaking initiatives to improve safety.
5.Coordinate safety activities with management to ensure implementation throughout the shops.
6.Conduct shop audits with Team Members to encourage continuous improvement.
7.Ensure FMCSA, OSHA and MSHA safety regulation compliance as it pertains to maintenance
operations.
Minimum Qualifications:
Excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written.
Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of personalities.
Excellent research and analytical skills.
Working knowledge of computer applications such as word processing, spreadsheet, or presentation
software.
Ability to travel regularly to shop locations.BA/BS degree in safety, construction, engineering, or
equivalent combination of experience.
Willingness to participate in trade organizations and groups to support our industry.
Minimum 3 years of experience in health and safety programs for the construction or transportation
industry.
Must possess a valid state driver’s license and have an acceptable driving record.
Experience with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, including OOS, HOS, ELD, and HazMat
criteria.
Working knowledge of construction materials equipment and operations.
