Can reside anywhere and be licensed anywhere as long as they have a dedicated career in class action wage and hour (5-10 years out).
Position Overview:
Our client, a well-regarded California based law firm is seeking a licensed attorney with a strong writing ability and a deep understanding of wage and hour law, particularly in the context of class action practice. This role is focused on research and writing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough legal research on wage and hour laws and class action litigation.
- Draft legal briefs, memoranda, and various documents for submission to federal and state trial and appellate courts, as well as arbitrators and other relevant entities.
- Collaborate with partners and senior associates to provide comprehensive and accurate legal analysis.
- Develop strategic recommendations based on legal research and analysis.
- Stay current on developments in wage-and-hour law and class action practices at both federal and state levels.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school; admission to practice law preferred (California license preferred but not required).
- Strong legal writing and research skills, with the ability to produce high-quality documents.
- In-depth understanding of wage and hour laws and class action litigation.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects efficiently.
