Job Description:
We Are Seeking an experienced Senior IT Business Analyst with strong Quality Assurance and Azure DevOps expertise to lead business analysis activities across complex enterprise technology initiatives. This role is responsible for gathering and translating business requirements, supporting Agile delivery processes, overseeing testing activities, and ensuring high-quality software solutions are delivered successfully. The ideal candidate will work closely with stakeholders, development teams, and QA teams to improve business processes, drive project success, and support enterprise-scale system implementations.
Responsibilities:
· Lead requirements gathering sessions, stakeholder interviews, and business process workshops to identify project objectives and business needs.
· Translate business requirements into functional specifications, user stories, workflows, and acceptance criteria.
· Create and maintain business requirement documents, process flows, data mapping documentation, and system specifications.
· Conduct impact analysis, gap analysis, and process improvement assessments for new initiatives and system enhancements.
· Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, development teams, QA teams, and leadership.
· Manage product backlogs, user stories, tasks, and defect tracking within Azure DevOps.
· Collaborate with Product Owners and Scrum teams to prioritize work items and support sprint planning activities.
· Ensure end-to-end traceability of requirements, testing activities, and deliverables using Azure DevOps tools and dashboards.
· Track sprint progress, testing results, and defect metrics to support project reporting and delivery transparency.
· Define, review, and support test strategies, test plans, test cases, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities.
· Oversee defect management processes and coordinate issue resolution with QA and development teams.
· Ensure delivered solutions meet business requirements, quality standards, and compliance expectations.
· Identify opportunities to improve workflows, business processes, and system efficiencies through technology solutions and automation.
· Support change management, user training, adoption strategies, and process documentation for system implementations.
· Present project updates, recommendations, and analysis findings to stakeholders and executive leadership.
· Mentor junior business analysts and contribute to enterprise business analysis standards and best practices.
Required Skills:
· 7+ years of experience as an IT Business Analyst supporting enterprise software projects.
· Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps for backlog management, sprint tracking, user stories, work items, dashboards, and defect management.
· Strong experience with Quality Assurance processes, software testing methodologies, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) coordination.
· Deep understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies including Scrum and Kanban.
· Experience writing detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, business requirements, and functional specifications.
· Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
· Experience facilitating workshops, stakeholder meetings, and cross-functional collaboration sessions.
· Ability to conduct process modeling, gap analysis, impact analysis, and workflow optimization.
· Knowledge of requirements traceability and defect lifecycle management.
· Familiarity with SQL, APIs, system integrations, and enterprise application architecture concepts.
· Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines and release management processes is preferred.
· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
· Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
· Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
