The Trust Operations Specialist position is responsible for assisting the Trust Operations Manager perform those administrative and operational assignments delegated by the management officers of the Trust Department. The incumbent will develop an understanding of Trust Department policies and procedures. The incumbent will develop a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the trust accounting software system utilized by the department and will be expected to correctly and efficiently utilize the system to meet the department’s accounting, reconciling, balancing and reporting requirements to its customers. Incumbent may periodically have customer contact for addressing questions or trouble-shooting problems.


Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Input Daily Settlement with Bank of New York (BNY).
  • Process STN and ETF trades.
  • Process Corporate Actions, Stock Splits, and Reverse Splits.
  • Post 12(b)(1) Fees Monthly.
  • Setup New Assets in System.
  • Process Federal and State Tax Reporting.
  • Input Proxy Voting.
  • Input daily earnings factors for Fidelity Investments and Federated money market mutual funds.
  • Review and clear Positive Pay exceptions daily.
  • Input/release checks, wires, and ACH transactions in the SunGard and Jack Henry wire transfer and ACH systems.
  • Receive and post wire & ACH transaction receipts.
  • Invoice monthly wire transfer fees.
  • Post monthly interest to customer accounts.
  • Daily or monthly value common trust fund & pooled investment funds.
  • Quarterly vault audits.


Education and Experience:

  • Associates Degree Required.
  • Marketing, Banking, Economics, Finance or Business Administration Course Concentration preferred.
  • Two years’ experience required.
