Histotechnician/Histotechnologist (Healthcare Sciences) 

Position Title: Histotech  

Location: Bellevue, WA 

Shift(s)/Departments: Tues-Sat 5a-1:30p (2 month guaranteed contract likely extend to 3 month contract) *If you aren't available for all of those days. Thursday/Friday and Saturday are the busiest. Would consider a Part Time Schedule from you*

Job Description  

• Processing, embedding, cutting, staining and coverslipping. 
• Accessioning all specimens along with other team members. 
• Performing special stains, following protocols. 
• Putting slides together with requisitions – double checking for accuracy. 
• Cutting control slides. 
• Quality control. 
• Must adhere to all department protocols and procedures. 
• Must be reliable, dependable and have an excellent attendance history. 
• Must be a team player. 
• Other duties as assigned. 

Histotechnician/Histotechnologist (Healthcare Sciences) 

Job Requirements 

Successful candidates for the Histotechnician/Histotechnologist include:  

• Bachelor’s Degree or Associate Degree in histology or related healthcare science field  preferred.
• ASCP Certification preferred not required 
• Must have Dermatology experience 
• Must be comfortable to work independently  
• Ability to cut and embed about 100-120 blocks per shift
