Our Client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Practice Leader to join lead their team in Dallas, TX.

As a Practice Leader, you will play a key role in our expansion into the Texas market, spearheading our land development projects in Dallas, TX. Utilize your expertise in site design, infrastructure development, and project management to lead a team of talented engineers. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is adept in managing client relations, generating new business opportunities, developing leads, writing proposals, securing contracts, and managing the growth of this business practice. You will oversee project managers in the execution of a diverse portfolio of projects, guaranteeing that we exceed client expectations and meet schedules and budgets. You will set the bar for quality and performance, reporting directly to the owner of the business.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Leadership and Strategy:

• Develop and execute strategic plans to grow the land development practice in Dallas, TX.
• Provide visionary leadership and mentorship to a team of civil engineers and designers.
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence within the land development practice.

2. Business Development:

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in land development projects.
• Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships, actively seeking opportunities to expand our client base.
• Collaborate with the business development team to prepare winning proposals and participate in client presentations.

3. Project Management:

• Oversee and manage multiple land development projects from inception to completion.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with industry standards and client expectations.
• Conduct regular project reviews to assess progress, identify risks, and implement effective mitigation strategies.

4. Technical Expertise:

• Provide technical leadership and expertise in civil engineering design for land development projects.
• Review and approve engineering designs, calculations, and specifications.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends, codes, regulations, and emerging sustainable practices.

5. Team Development:

• Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of civil engineers and designers.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering their professional growth and career advancement.
• Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous learning.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license in any state in the United States.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on land development projects.
• Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering land development projects.
• Experience in AutoCAD and Civil 3D
