process controllers. This includes supporting regulatory applications based on the Honeywell TDC and
Experion platforms, and multivariable applications based on the AspenTech DMC platform. This position will
report to the Instrumentation and Controls Engineering Manager.
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES
• Regularly utilize the Honeywell TDC Distributed Control System (DCS) and Experion platforms, along
with advanced engineering applications, such as: AspenTech’s DMC, abnormal event detection/real
time advisory alerting, alarm management strategies, remote control performance monitoring,
blending applications (or platforms), etc.
• Develop and provide support for basic process control applications using control engineering skills
such as point configuration, loop tuning, control logic development, and identification of process
dynamics.
• Maintain and modify existing process control applications and operator interfaces.
• Identify and develop new control schemes to increase process safety, optimization and reliability.
• Review instrumentation specifications and design for control improvements
• Investigates instrumentation and controls equipment failures and recommends actions to enhance
the system and equipment reliability
• Provide technical support for the plant's instrumentation systems and equipment, including low
voltage electrical control systems and some Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)
• Basic understanding of industry standards (API, NFPA, NEC, IEEE, ASME, ANSI, ASCE)
