Position: Technical Project Manager

Location: Onsite M-F in Austin, TX

Duration: FTE - Direct Hire

Our end client is a fast-growing player in the autonomous mobility and robotics space. They build advanced self-driving and robotic technologies.

They are looking for an IT Project Manager to lead complex, hardware-focused projects from concept to production. This person will drive execution, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure alignment across engineering disciplines. Ideal candidates thrive in fast-paced environments, speak the language of engineers, and enjoy solving technical challenges with real-world impact.

Responsibilities

• Lead hardware/software projects end-to-end
• Coordinate cross-functional collaboration, creating clear ownership, timelines, and deliverables
• Implement efficient processes
• Resolve complex product and infrastructure challenges
• Serve as the communication hub for stakeholders

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in STEM (Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Math, Physics)
• 5+ years managing hardware/software projects
• Strong ownership, accountability, and prioritization skills
• Experience taking complex physical products from concept to production, including prototyping, sourcing, manufacturing, and quality control
• Technical literacy to read Python/C++ code, understand schematics, and discuss system architectures
• Comfortable with Linux, Docker, SSH, and hardware configuration/testing
