Director of Technology – Strategic IT Leadership for a Global People-Focused Organization

Location: Lincoln, NE (Hybrid: 3–4 days/week onsite)

Compensation: $130K–$180K base + annual profit share + comprehensive benefits

The Opportunity

In this role, you’ll have end-to-end accountability for all technology operations, strategy, and innovation at the enterprise level. You’ll guide cloud infrastructure, application portfolios, cybersecurity, and software development processes, while ensuring technology investments directly advance the company’s strategic vision.

This is not a maintenance role—it’s a transformational leadership opportunity for someone who can envision and implement technology roadmaps that drive both short-term wins and long-term scalability.


Core Requirements

The ideal candidate will bring:

  • Proven technology leadership at both strategic and operational levels, ideally in a service-based or consulting environment.
  • Strong cloud infrastructure expertise — hands-on knowledge of AWS, Azure, or similar platforms, including security best practices.
  • Enterprise application oversight — particularly ERP, CRM, and other mission-critical systems.
  • Understanding of software development principles — at least basic coding knowledge — and a solid grasp of Agile processes.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and fostering collaboration between IT and business units.
  • Vendor and partner management skills, including contract negotiation and performance management.
  • Change management expertise — demonstrated success guiding organizations through major technology transformations.
  • Exceptional communication skills — able to convey complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

Bonus Skills

  • Experience in professional services or consulting environments.
  • Proven success driving digital transformation initiatives.
