About Our Client

ErthTech Talent is working with an energy innovation company making electric fleet charging faster, more flexible, and independent of the grid. Their battery-integrated platform helps EV fleet owners and related infrastructure providers overcome major deployment hurdles—delivering rapid, cost-effective, and grid-resilient charging.


The Role

As Director of Commercial, you’ll report directly to the CEO and lead all go-to-market functions including sales, marketing, and business development. You’ll spearhead expansion efforts beyond the fleet segment, across a range of EV charging verticals. This role is ideal for a commercial leader with experience in EV infrastructure who thrives in high-growth, high-impact environments. The role includes building and managing a high-performing sales organization by setting targets, coaching team members, and implementing scalable outbound and channel sales processes. You’ll oversee the full commercial organization while managing and deepening partnerships with Orange EV and other OEMs or distributors to drive co-selling opportunities. Additionally, you’ll collaborate closely with Product and Engineering to align market needs with the technical roadmap and drive customer expansion strategies that increase retention and revenue growth across key accounts.


Qualifications & Skills

Required

  • 10+ years in commercial roles, including 5+ years leading B2B sales organizations
  • Direct experience in EV infrastructure (e.g., charging, grid tech, power systems, or a closely related field)
  • Demonstrated success in scaling sales and marketing teams in startup or growth-stage environments
  • Proven track record executing go-to-market strategies across multiple verticals
  • Excellent channel partner management and team leadership skills
  • High-urgency leadership style that balances strategy with execution

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with OEMs or distributors in the EV space
  • Familiarity with outbound and channel sales models
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration experience with product and engineering
