We’re looking for a mission-focused Systems Engineer ready to tackle complex technical challenges that directly impact national security. In this role, you’ll apply a multi-disciplinary approach to support critical efforts across the National System for Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG), Allied System for Geospatial-Intelligence (ASG), and partner federal agencies.
You’ll play a key part in shaping geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) capabilities—ensuring they stay agile, resilient, and aligned with fast-changing mission needs. From defining requirements to evaluating performance and supporting integration, your work will directly contribute to delivering timely, accurate intelligence.
What You’ll Do
- Apply systems engineering across the GEOINT enterprise, including requirements, solutions design, scheduling, testing, and integration.
- Translate mission and customer needs into actionable technical requirements and system capabilities.
- Perform requirements analysis and traceability across user needs, architectures, and processes.
- Evaluate and improve system reliability, maintainability, and resilience—especially in cloud and service-oriented environments.
- Support the design and assessment of new technical solutions and help mentor junior engineers in doing the same.
- Contribute to key engineering efforts such as:
- Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs)
- Trade studies and course-of-action evaluations
- Integration planning and strategic technical reviews
- Assist in systems integration, performance engineering, risk management, and interface design for evolving GEOINT systems.
What You’ll Bring
- Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph

Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, a related STEM field, or 9+ years of Systems Engineering experience in lieu of a degree

6+ years of experience in government or industry in one or more of the following areas:
- DoD/IC acquisition or requirements processes
- PPBES processes
- System engineering for large-scale systems or cloud-based architectures
Ideally, You’ll Also Have
- Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and methodologies
- Understanding of Software Development Frameworks
- INCOSE ASEP certification
- Experience supporting geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) missions
- Background or interest in:
- Photogrammetry, remote sensing, image science, GIS, or related technical fields
- Professional organizations such as ACSM, ASCE, ASPRS, OGC, SAREM, or USGIF
- Knowledge of the current NSG/ASG and NRO technical landscape
