Overview:


Our client is a nationally recognized boutique wealth management firm seeking a seasoned Senior Financial Planner to join its growing team. This individual will play a key leadership role within the planning function, overseeing Planning Associates and Analysts while ensuring the highest quality financial planning deliverables for clients. This role is instrumental in enhancing the firm’s financial planning capabilities, expanding client-facing resources, and collaborating with Advisors and leadership to deliver best-in-class planning services.


This position offers the opportunity to help shape the planning function within a collaborative wealth management environment. The Senior Financial Planner will work closely with Advisors and leadership, mentor a growing planning team, and play a meaningful role in elevating the firm’s client experience and long-term growth.


Key Responsibilities:


• Review, refine, and approve financial planning analyses, reports, and recommendations to ensure accuracy and quality

• Mentor and oversee Planning Associates and Analysts, helping develop the next generation of planners

• Collaborate with Advisors and leadership to improve planning processes and elevate the client experience

• Expand and develop new client-facing planning tools, materials, and service offerings

• Participate in client meetings to present financial planning recommendations and support advisor relationships

• Prepare comprehensive financial plans and perform financial analysis using planning software and custom Excel models

• Provide guidance on retirement planning, tax strategies, Social Security planning, estate planning, and wealth transfer considerations

• Maintain awareness of evolving financial planning strategies and industry best practices to support clients and advisors



Qualifications:


• 5+ years of financial planning experience within a wealth management or advisory firm

• Bachelor’s degree required

• CFP designation required; additional professional designations preferred

• Strong knowledge of financial planning disciplines including retirement, tax, insurance, and estate planning

• Prior tax planning experience highly preferred

• Advanced proficiency with financial planning software (such as eMoney or MoneyGuidePro) and Microsoft Office

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to balance strategic thinking with strong attention to detail
