About the Opportunity:

HireIQ Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Audit Senior on behalf of our client, a respected mid-size accounting firm based in Oregon. This position can be based in Bend, Corvallis, Eugene, or Portland. A CPA license is preferred, and aspiring CPAs are welcomed.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Engagement Management:
  • Manage multiple audit engagements from start to finish, including establishing objectives, defining scope, and overseeing budgets and schedules.
  • Take full responsibility for client deliverables, ensuring all work meets the highest professional standards.


  • Client Relations:
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships by delivering value-added insights and identifying opportunities for additional services.
  • Actively support business development efforts by pursuing new opportunities.


  • Team Leadership and Mentorship:
  • Supervise and mentor engagement staff, providing clear feedback and meaningful opportunities for growth.
  • Foster knowledge transfer by maintaining an open-door policy and encouraging collaboration during office hours.
  • Act as a coach to new team members, helping them develop critical career skills beyond technical accounting, including effective communication and professional interactions.


  • Technical Expertise:
  • Review staff work for accuracy, compliance with GAAP, GAAS, and OCBOA standards, and adherence to firm policies.
  • Conduct accounting and auditing research, leveraging firm resources to resolve complex issues.


  • Professional Standards:
  • Maintain the highest degree of professional standards and client confidentiality.
  • Ensure all engagements are conducted in compliance with applicable laws, standards, and firm guidelines.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • CPA license preferred.
  • 3 years of recent experience in audit and assurance accounting with a certified public accounting firm.
  • Strong technical knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, and OCBOA.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple engagements and mentor team members effectively.
