Job Overview

 

Apple Island Golf Course on Lake Champlain is a 9-hole par 3 golf course in South Hero, Vermont open from May 15th through October 15th from 8:00am to 7:00pm. There is a driving range and putting green to help guests sharpen their skills and a PGA golf pro for lessons.

 

The Golf Clubhouse Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of Apple Island Resort’s Golf Pro Shop operations.

 

 

Job Responsibilities

 

• Direct administrative activities directly related to providing golf services

• Analyze financial records to improve efficiency

• Direct sales, marketing, and customer service activities

• Actively supervise the team; prepare staff work schedules and assign specific duties

• Coordinate teaching programs

• Organize group outings and events for the facility

 

 

Qualifications

 

• High school diploma; associates degree strongly preferred

• Several years of related work experience

• Must know/play/enjoy the game of golf

• Self-motivated, service driven, and dynamic individual

• Robust computer and communication skills (verbal and written)

• Budget management and revenue generation ideas are critical for this position

• Possess reliable transportation and able to pass a reference and background check
