POSITION SUMMARY:

MasTec Canada is currently recruiting a Project Junior HSE Advisor to join its Industrial Division in support of building a compression station near Lac la Biche, AlbertaThis is a two (2) month site based role on a rotation schedule with an immediate start.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Conduct on site general field inspections
  • Documentation scanning
  • Collection of safety paperwork and uploading into database
  • Provide coverage as required
  • Other duties as assigned


EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 2 years safety representative experience
  • Minimum National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) designation
  • Experience working with industrial construction/maintenance in the Facility and/or Mechanical industry is an asset
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and SharePoint


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Take reasonable care of your own and others’ health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for promoting and living out MasTec Canada’s 6 Core Values
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license and current clean drivers abstract (5 years) is required
  • Valid Safety Tickets (H2S, First Aid, CSO)
  • Fall Arrest and Confined Space are an asset
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Ambitious, high-energy with positive attitude
  • Proficient analytical and investigative abilities are complemented by exceptional organization and communication skills
