We are currently seeking a Salesforce Administrator for a nonprofit organization in Chicago. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity for a Salesforce professional who can provide hands-on administration and user support while helping advance the organization’s Salesforce roadmap.

• Location: Downtown Chicago – Hybrid
• Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week
• Work Arrangement: 2 days/week in the Chicago office, with an additional 90-minute in-person team meeting every other Friday
• Type: Temporary with potential for permanent hire
• Pay Rate: $35/hr- $38/hr DOE
• Salary: $60,000–$75,000 annually, depending on experience

Position Overview

The Salesforce Administrator will support the day-to-day operation, configuration, troubleshooting, and enhancement of the organization’s Salesforce environment. This role will work closely with staff across programs, development, and IT to understand business needs and develop effective Salesforce solutions.

The ideal candidate is technically strong, curious, adaptable, and comfortable working in a nonprofit environment where Salesforce is used in creative and non-traditional ways.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day Salesforce administration, configuration, troubleshooting, and user support.
• Respond to staff questions and provide training and guidance on Salesforce functionality.
• Create and maintain reports, dashboards, workflows, automations, and Salesforce Flows.
• Help develop and implement enhancements as part of the organization’s Salesforce roadmap.
• Support integrations with Pardot/Account Engagement, Conga/Composer or similar document-generation tools, and Okta/IAM provisioning workflows.
• Work with custom Salesforce applications and support both program/service operations and Development/Marketing & Communications users.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, automation, data management, and overall system functionality.
• Collaborate with IT and internal stakeholders to understand organizational needs and translate them into technical solutions.
• Provide responsive, customer-service-oriented support to staff and, when needed, external/client-facing users.

Our Ideal Candidate

• 2–3+ years of Salesforce Administration experience.
• Strong experience with Salesforce configuration, workflows, automation, and Flows.
• Experience with Salesforce NPSP and/or custom Salesforce applications; experience with both is a plus.
• Familiarity with Pardot/Account Engagement, Conga/Composer, Okta, or similar integrations preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience supporting and training end users.
• Comfortable learning complex systems and understanding how technology can support programmatic needs.
• Nonprofit experience strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Able to work independently while collaborating closely with IT and internal teams.

We are looking for someone who is intellectually curious, adaptable, and a fast learner. The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a Salesforce environment that is highly customized and may not function like a traditional CRM.

This person should enjoy learning how different programs operate, asking questions, identifying opportunities for improvement, and translating organizational needs into practical technical solutions.
