Position Title: Senior Accountant/Controller
Position Location: This position is hybrid (1-2 days onsite in Rockville, MD)
Daily Responsibilities:
- Analyze program costs and ensure compliance with the contract terms and conditions
- Confirm proper invoicing and posting of income
- Prepare rate verifications for financial closeout documentation, and verify all final contractual documentation has been provided
- Act as a liaison with key stakeholders
- Prepare special invoices and provide financial backup as necessary for a subset of agreements
- Additional duties such as status tracking and maintaining a closeout listing; identifying, implementing, and streamlining process improvements; and writing/updating internal standard operating procedures
- Ad-hoc exercises as they arise
Required Degree:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, or a related field
Required Experience:
- Strong Excel skills and experience
- Proficient knowledge of government contracting
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and written
- Strong problem solving, analytical, and organizational skills
- Detail-oriented
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt to change in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work independently
Preferred Experience:
- Basic knowledge of Word, Power Point, and Outlook
- 3+ years of experience in commercial Enterprise Resource Planning system
- Deltek Costpoint skills/experience strongly preferred
- An active government security clearance

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $55k - $85k

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
