We are seeking an exceptional Chair for Access – The Foundation for Social Investment at a pivotal moment for the organisation and the wider social investment market.

Access exists to address a critical challenge: ensuring charities and social enterprises can access the finance they need to make a difference, to ensure they have the means to sustain or scale their impact.

Access plays a vital role in the charities ecosystem, supporting and enabling the work of charities and social enterprises in our communities, tackling deep-rooted challenges and creating lasting social change. They create jobs, strengthen communities, and contribute to economic growth – but they need the right finance to succeed. The recent allocation of £87.5 million in additional dormant assets funding marks an important moment for Access and partners across the ecosystem, creating new opportunities to deepen our impact and extend support to the organisations and communities that need it most.

Our new Chair will lead the board to shape and drive the strategy of Access to deliver an investment eco-system that works for all charities and social enterprises, helping to create stronger communities. They will bring a deep commitment to the sector and to supporting it with patient, flexible finance, to systems change and to reaching underserved communities, and to innovative finance.
