Workday HCM Architect (Remote)

Position Summary:

We have an exciting remote opportunity available for a Workday HCM Architect on our Workday Delivery team! This role is responsible for ensuring the successful production support (post go-live) for HCM and two or more additional modules under the HCM umbrella such as: Core Compensation and Advanced Compensation (merit, bonus, stock), Benefits, Talent/Performance, Recruiting, and Learning.

The HCM Architect will actively contribute to the development of ERPA’s Workday AMS practice, and we’re looking for an innovative, strategic leader with the drive to make our client a Workday partner of choice.


Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Act as a lead consultant on multiple client engagements with limited direction
  • Understand client business requirements and provide guidance throughout design, configuration and prototype, and assist clients with testing and move to production efforts
  • Support clients during annual events as needed, such as: Annual Talent/Performance, Merit, Open Enrollment, ACA, etc.
  • Partner with Engagement Managers to keep them informed of project status, changes, etc.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional counterparts to ensure clear lines of communication and project alignment
  • Accurately maintain forecast in a timely manner
  • Partner with the Sales team and serve as a Subject Matter Expert while assisting with sales presentations, demos, and LOEs
  • Stay up to date on industry knowledge, Workday enhancements, and be able to advise on Workday best practices
  • Build strong relationships with clients, gained through trust and exceptional customer service


Experience and Education Requirements:

  • Workday experience independently leading higher ed projects is required
  • 5+ years of experience designing and configuring Workday HCM is required
  • 4+ years of experience as a Workday HCM lead consultant at a partner firm is required.
  • Workday Partner certifications must remain in Active status throughout employment
  • Workday Partner HCM certification is required, as well as at least one of the Workday Partner certifications: Learning, Talent, Benefits, Recruiting, Advanced Compensation, PEX
  • Must have experience troubleshooting or navigating Workday Security and be able to build custom reports.
  • Strong organizational skills are required. Must be able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required, along with a detailed understanding of Workday HCM processes and best practices to make appropriate implementation recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as in a team environment, coupled with a desire to have fun while building something new (required)
