What’s the role all about?

As the Shift Supervisor – Late Shift, you’ll lead the Hand Assembly and Datamate teams, ensuring production targets, quality standards and safety requirements are consistently met. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll support your team, troubleshoot issues and help drive continuous improvement.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Supervising daily operations during the late shift
  • Supporting the team with hands-on assembly tasks when needed
  • Ensuring production output meets quality and efficiency targets
  • Conducting shift handovers and communicating with management
  • Training, mentoring and developing team members
  • Maintaining accurate production and attendance records
  • Identifying improvement opportunities to boost quality and productivity
  • Managing component/tool inventory and reporting shortages
  • Ensuring compliance with all Health & Safety procedures
  • Investigating accidents, near misses or unsafe conditions

What you’ll need

To be successful as a Shift Supervisor, you’ll bring:

  • Experience in a supervisory or team-leading role within manufacturing or assembly
  • Strong understanding of hand assembly techniques
  • Knowledge of automated machinery processes
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to lead by example and support a positive team culture
  • Problem-solving skills and confidence troubleshooting issues
  • Understanding of safety regulations and quality control standards
  • Willingness to be hands-on and support production tasks
