The role: Director of Product Design, FieldOps (corporate recruitment site + tools)



  • You'll manage the creation of end-to-end products that facilitate the successful attraction, hiring, onboarding, and engagement of new financial agents to their company
  • It’s a b2c website, as well as a suite of tools on the backend which will require UX skills
  • This is a “player / coach” role which requires some degree of hands on design skill in Figma (25-35% of the time, including at the pixel level), while managing design agency vendors and freelancers, driving initiatives with key stakeholders, etc.
  • Ideal candidate is established in the UX / Product Design realm now, and can handle the design of complex functionality, but can oversee beautiful b2c website design to attract and acquire users.
  • You might not be hands-on designing Marketing / Brand work anymore, but perhaps you came out of it earlier in your career.
  • At the very least, you "know what good looks like", and you've overseen design agencies or freelancers to create compelling, consumer-grade websites to attract potential users / applicants.
  • You've got Product Design chops to handle the heavy-duty UX / Product Design behind this site - ie, complex forms submission and progress tracking, applications, data collection, etc.
  • You can think of it as a built in ATS that the company will use to track and hire candidates.




Preferred background:


  • Ideally 10+ years of relevant design experience, with both B2B and B2C experience 
  • InsureTech, financial services, healthcare and other highly regulated spaces
  • Must have experience managing agency partners and consultants, as well as have management or mentoring experience of freelancers
  • You're less likely to manage an internal direct report, at least for now, but that could change in the future
  • You have led design at scale (ie: millions of users, ideally)
  • This level may be the equivalent of a Lead, Staff, Art Director, Associate Creative Director, or Design Director at other companies
  • Strong knowledge of accessibility guidelines is highly useful



Logistics:


  • Location: Hybrid onsite Tues-Thurs in NYC
  • Portfolio required

  • Salary: $180,000 - $230,000 all in pay (which includes base + bonus)
