Responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing machinery and equipment. Requires strong mechanical systems knowledge, troubleshooting skills, and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance and inspections on equipment.
Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues to minimize downtime.
Install, align, and dismantle machinery and equipment.
Conduct preventative maintenance for equipment longevity.
Collaborate to improve maintenance procedures.
Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Assist in training junior maintenance staff.
Perform other duties as required.
Requirements:
1-2 years of Mechanic/Millwright experience; experience in large-scale manufacturing/processing is a plus.
Certification from a vocational school or apprenticeship required.
Journeyman Millwright Certification.
Excellent knowledge of machinery, hydraulic, electrical, and other systems.
Proficiency with hand tools and precision measurement tools.
Ability to follow procedures, read instructions, and blueprints.
Strong commitment to health and safety guidelines.
Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Physical strength and stamina; able to lift, pull, push up to 80 lbs and perform physical tasks.
Ability to work in varied environmental conditions.
Independent working ability and multitasking skills.
Willingness to work rotational shifts, flexible hours, weekends, overtime, and be on-call during emergencies.
