Vale Group, a nationwide specialized recruitment firm, has partnered with a company based in Jacksonville, FL, who is actively searching for an experienced Certified Prosthetist Orthotist (CPO) to work onsite for an opportunity paying up to $120K, plus relocation assistance for the right individual, based on experience. This is a hands-on clinical opportunity offering meaningful autonomy at the clinic level while operating under the mentorship of a Practice Manager or Senior CPO. The position offers exposure to a diverse caseload that includes trauma situations, pediatric patients, and neurological conditions, making it well suited for a clinician who values both independent decision-making and a collaborative team setting.


Requirements of the Certified Prosthetist Orthotist (CPO):

● Active CPO licensure issued by the State of Florida

● ABC Certification is mandatory

● Open to candidates at any experience level as a practicing CPO

● Solid grasp of human anatomy, physiology principles, and patient care fundamentals

● Capability to conduct physical evaluations and apply evidence-based clinical practices

● Working knowledge of clinical terminology along with aseptic procedures

● Ability to perform all duties within the defined practice scope


Responsibilities of the Certified Prosthetist Orthotist (CPO):

● Assess patients via interviews, hands-on examinations, and measurements to determine appropriate orthotic and prosthetic solutions

● Build, fit, and fine-tune devices to ensure optimal function and comfort for each patient ● Coach patients on the correct operation, upkeep, and care of their devices

● Partner with physicians to formulate treatment strategies and outline device specifications ● Cast patients and refine molds ahead of the fabrication stage

● Choose appropriate materials and components according to each device's design

● Document and maintain thorough records for each patient

● Repair, retrofit, and reconstruct devices as circumstances require

● Fabricate devices directly or supervise the fabrication process

● Take part in an organized after-hours rotation, which includes hospital coverage

● Mentor Orthotic Fitters and provide guidance to junior team members

● Support as needed
