Vale Group has partnered with a leading orthotic and prosthetic care provider in the Jacksonville, FL area to identify a Florida-licensed Certified Prosthetist Orthotist (CPO). This is a hands-on clinical role working under the guidance of the Practice Manager/Senior CPO, offering strong clinic-level autonomy and exposure to a diverse patient population including trauma, pediatric, and neurological cases. Requirements:

  • Active Florida license as a Certified Prosthetist Orthotist (CPO)
  • ABC Certification required
  • Any level of experience as a practicing CPO will be considered
  • Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and patient care practices
  • Ability to perform physical assessments and apply clinical best practices
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and aseptic techniques
  • Ability to perform all duties within the established scope of practice


Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate patients through examination, interview, and measurement to determine orthotic and prosthetic needs
  • Design, fit, and adjust orthotic and prosthetic devices to ensure optimal function and patient comfort
  • Educate patients on proper use, care, and maintenance of devices
  • Collaborate with physicians to develop treatment plans and device specifications
  • Cast patients and modify molds for fabrication purposes
  • Select appropriate materials and components based on device design
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
  • Repair, modify, and rebuild orthotic and prosthetic devices as needed
  • Fabricate devices or oversee fabrication processes
  • Participate in a structured on-call rotation, including hospital calls
  • Mentor and support Orthotic Fitters and junior staff
  • Address and resolve complex patient concerns and clinical issues


This position will evolve to include participation in an after-hours on-call schedule as part of the organization’s long-term operational strategy.
