Must have hands-on leadership experience in both QA & QC for commercial landing gear systems with a focus on Airbus and Boeing aircrafts.


Vale Group, a nationwide specialized recruitment firm, has partnered with an MRO based near Miami Lakes, FL, who is actively searching for an experienced Quality Control Manager to work onsite for an opportunity paying $35-50/HR, based on experience. Focus will be on all commercial landing gears for mostly Airbus and Boeing widebody models. This leadership position oversees the quality assurance function within an FAA-certified repair station, holding full accountability for compliance with federal aviation rules as well as EASA and CAA-UK standards. The selected individual will manage technical libraries, calibration oversight, internal audits, and inspector training across a high-throughput overhaul operation.


Requirements of the Quality Control Manager:

● In-depth working knowledge of aviation directives such as 8900.1, AC145-9A, and CFR Parts 21, 43, 45, 65, 91, and 145

● Demonstrated familiarity with EASA and CAA-UK regulatory frameworks

● Minimum of 5+ years of progressive QA/QC experience within aircraft maintenance, repair, or overhaul

● Prior leadership experience inside a certified repair station environment

● A&P certification strongly preferred

● Ability to interpret OEM publications, Service Bulletins, Airworthiness Directives, and CMMs

● Strong skills in calibration tracking, audit coordination, and electronic recordkeeping platforms

● Excellent documentation, communication, and training development capabilities


Responsibilities of the Quality Control Manager:

● Oversee all stages of inspection including incoming evaluation, concealed damage assessment, mid-production checks, and final airworthiness sign-off

● Maintain accurate and current technical libraries containing OEM data, ADs, Service Bulletins, and approved revisions

● Run the calibration system for all tooling and measurement instruments used in production, including personally owned items belonging to technicians

● Sign off on accepted incoming parts, materials, and externally contracted work to verify airworthiness

● Establish controls designed to keep suspected unapproved parts out of the supply chain

● Process FAA Form 337 submissions and issue maintenance release documentation when applicable

● Manage the training roster and qualification records for inspection and technical staff, ensuring all documentation stays current

● Support as needed
