Vale Group, a nationwide specialized recruitment firm, has partnered with a company based in Timonium, MD, who is actively searching for an experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technician to work onsite for an opportunity paying $34 to $45 per hour, based on experience. This well-established mechanical contractor maintains, repairs, and retrofits heating, cooling, and refrigeration systems for a wide portfolio of corporate, retail, educational, healthcare, and government facilities throughout the Greater Baltimore Area. The ideal hire will be confident diagnosing complex commercial equipment in the field and committed to delivering responsive, high-quality service to a long-standing client base.

Requirements of the Commercial HVAC Service Technician:
● Hands-on troubleshooting and repair of rooftop units, split systems, chillers, boilers, pumps, VAV boxes, and exhaust systems
● Strong refrigeration knowledge, including diagnostics, recovery, evacuation, and charging
● Familiarity with electrical controls, low-voltage wiring, and basic building automation interfaces
● Minimum of 3 years of commercial HVAC service experience
● Completion of an HVAC trade school program or recognized apprenticeship
● Active EPA 608 Universal certification
● Comfortable interpreting blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals
● Valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle record; Honeywell, Tridium, or Johnson Controls exposure is a strong plus
Responsibilities of the Commercial HVAC Service Technician:
● Respond to scheduled maintenance visits and emergency service calls across the Greater Baltimore region
● Perform preventative maintenance, repair, and retrofit work on commercial HVAC equipment
● Document service activity, parts used, and recommendations through mobile field service software
● Identify additional repair or replacement opportunities and escalate them to the service manager
● Communicate professionally with property managers, facility staff, and on-site tenants
● Maintain a clean, organized service vehicle and properly inventory tools and parts
● Adhere to all OSHA, EPA, and site-specific safety requirements
● Support as needed
