About Our Client

ErthTech Talent is working with an EV Charging SaaS startup that is revolutionizing how EV drivers interact with the power grid. Their software platform acts as the connective tissue between EV drivers and power utilities, using cloud-based commands to optimize EV charging for grid-friendly, low-carbon hours, and to create cost savings for drivers. The company is backed by major players in the automotive industry and is experiencing rapid growth.


The Role

The VP of Finance & Operations is a key leadership position that will own and actively manage the startup's finance and operations teams. Core responsibilities include leading financial planning & forecasting, participating in Board meetings, preparing financial reports, managing financial tools and systems, ensuring compliance, and eventually managing the company's operations team.


Qualifications & Skills Required

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in accounting or audit;
  • Previous operational or start-up experience, either full-time or as part of an internship/externship;
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent certification;
  • Previous accounting experience, ideally at a Big 4 firm;
  • Strong financial modelling acumen and experience, and can structure, build and maintain complex financial models to support business needs;
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and is able to drive alignment across multiple investors;
  • Has operational experience working at a start-up or other business, with exposure to at least one other function beyond finance;
  • Is comfortable presenting to and influencing C-suite and investor stakeholders.
