About Our Client

ErthTech Talent is working with Helix Earth, a rapidly growing startup on a mission to combat climate change by transforming the way we cool our planet and is transforming the way we do carbon capture and sequestration (CCS).  


The Role

The Director of Manufacturing will lead product development efforts from concept to production, with a focus on design for manufacturability (DFM). This role requires a seasoned manufacturing engineer to oversee prototype builds, develop manufacturing processes, and ensure production systems meet high-volume, rate, cost, and quality targets. The Director will collaborate with engineering teams and manufacturing partners to scale up manufacturing and drive continuous improvement.  


Qualifications & Skills Required

  • B.S, M.S, or PhD in mechanical, industrial, aerospace engineering, or related field.  
  • Minimum of 10 years in HVAC or automotive manufacturing/operations, or related field.  
  • Direct experience in standing up a new factory floor, including supply chain ops.  
  • Profound knowledge of heat transfer, fluid mechanics, and core mechanical engineering principles.
  • Highly experienced in design for manufacturing (DFM).  
  • Experience with project management
  • Six Sigma Green / Black Belt or Lean Expert Certification
  • Knowledge of using Six sigma/quality Tools and APQP (PFMEA, Control plan, SPC MSA, ISO-9002, IATF-16949, etc.). 
  • Experience in production and process improvement, with a focus on optimizing operational metrics such as yield, uptime, cycle time, line balancing, and OEE. 
  • Working knowledge of MATLAB or Python & MS Excel
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills, ability to collaborate effectively and a consistent strong attention to detail


Nice to Have

  • Experience in CAD Software (SolidWorks preferred).  
  • Industrial design experience.  
  • The ability to think creatively and devise novel solutions. 
  • The ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment. 
  • Maintenance of a persistent attention to detail.
