Mount Indie is seeking an experienced Subject Matter Expert IV to join our team supporting Navy ERP modernization and transformation efforts. The SME IV will serve as a trusted advisor, providing deep expertise in business operations, process improvement, and organizational transformation. This role will lead process experts, facilitate mission alignment, and drive change management initiatives to enhance operational efficiency across large, complex organizations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide detailed analysis of current operations, organizational processes, procedures, and staff structures.
  • Develop phased recommendations for operational and staffing improvements.
  • Employ business process models, activity flows, and data models to identify efficiencies and enable mission success.
  • Serve as a leader or facilitator for cross-functional process experts when identifying existing or proposed business process solutions.
  • Direct and mentor junior staff in process mapping tools and methodologies.
  • Lead the implementation of mission alignment concepts, organizational transformation, and change management activities.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in Navy ERP (ECC/S/4HANA) and support implementation initiatives.
  • Collaborate with senior government and industry stakeholders to ensure alignment with operational requirements.


Required Qualifications

Experience: Minimum 15 years of hands-on experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Business Operations
  • Systems Requirements
  • Operational Requirements
  • Test & Evaluation
  • Training
  • Recognized expert with demonstrated industry or public service leadership in a relevant technical discipline.
  • Proven experience supporting SAP ECC or S/4HANA implementations.
  • Strong expertise in business process modeling, process mapping, and transformation leadership.

Education Requirements

  • MS or MA degree in Business, Management, or a relevant technical discipline.
  • Allowable Substitution: A BS/BA degree plus an additional four (4) years of experience may substitute for the advanced degree.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience supporting Navy or DoD ERP environments.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Track record of leading large-scale change management and transformation programs.
  • Ability to lead and mentor cross-functional teams in high-paced environments.
