Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee accounting and revenue audit functions for a fast-paced gaming and hospitality environment. This position will manage daily revenue audits, Accounts Payable, General Ledger activities, reconciliations, financial reporting, and compliance with gaming regulations and internal controls.


The Accounting Manager will supervise revenue audit staff, review financial records, identify and resolve discrepancies, and ensure all accounting and audit activities are completed accurately and on time.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee Accounts Payable, General Ledger, and daily revenue audit operations.
  • Supervise and support Revenue Auditors and ensure work is completed accurately and on schedule.
  • Conduct and review daily, weekly, and monthly audits.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, gaming regulations, MICS, ICS, and NIGC requirements.
  • Review audit results, identify discrepancies, and ensure issues are properly documented and resolved.
  • Reconcile revenue and balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial and audit reports for management.
  • Review General Ledger entries for accuracy and make corrections as needed.
  • Work with other departments to ensure revenue is recorded and reconciled properly.
  • Maintain audit checklists and procedures in accordance with internal control requirements.
  • Monitor and follow up on audit exceptions.
  • Coordinate month-end inventory counts and other recurring audit activities.
  • Assist with internal and external audits as needed.
  • Maintain required financial and audit records.
  • Coordinate required correspondence with the Tribal Gaming Commission.
  • Ensure payroll is completed and approved before payroll deadlines.
  • Complete required reports and special projects as assigned by Finance leadership.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism, confidentiality, accuracy, and integrity.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 5 years of casino industry experience, including 2+ years of casino accounting experience.
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, gaming regulations, Title 31, and MICS requirements.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Gaming License through the applicable Tribal Gaming Commission.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime when needed.


Physical & Work Requirements

  • Full-time, on-site position in Madera, CA.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk throughout the workday.
  • Ability to work for extended periods at a computer.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds when needed.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
  • Work may occasionally involve areas that are hot, cold, noisy, smoky, or confined.
  • Must be able to interact professionally with employees, guests, and other departments.
