As part of its continued growth, the company is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Representative to join the team.


The Opportunity: This role focuses on driving sales growth across a diverse range of products, including engineered wood products (EWP), lumber, trusses, and other construction materials. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, excellent communication skills, and a passion for providing solutions to builders, contractors, and developers.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing clients, including contractors, builders, and construction professionals.
  • Provide expert guidance on a variety of building materials, with a particular focus on engineered wood products, trusses, and general lumber supplies.
  • Prepare and present product recommendations and pricing proposals tailored to customer needs.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth order processing, accurate inventory management, and timely delivery of products.
  • Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and industry innovations to identify new business opportunities.
  • Conduct site visits and engage in consultative sales to understand client project requirements and recommend suitable product solutions.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets through proactive prospecting and effective account management.
  • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by providing ongoing support and addressing client concerns promptly.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum of 3+ years of sales experience in the building materials industry, preferably with engineered wood products, trusses, or construction supplies.
  • Strong preference for candidates with existing relationships with builders, contractors, and developers.
  • Strong knowledge of building materials, construction methods, and industry standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings (an asset).
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets in a competitive market.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with CRM systems.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as required.
