Our client is seeking a compassionate, experienced Director of Nursing to oversee clinical operations within a geriatric-focused healthcare environment located in the stunning Florida Keys. ๐ŸŒŸ What You'll Do

Inspire & Lead Multidisciplinary Care Teams

  • Supervise and support clinical staff including nurses and other healthcare professionals
  • Foster a culture of clinical excellence, collaboration, and accountability
  • Oversee onboarding, development, and performance of team members

Champion Individualized, Geriatric-Focused Care

  • Ensure care plans are comprehensive, proactive, and tailored to the unique needs of older adults
  • Guide staff in assessing and responding to complex health changes
  • Coordinate care with physicians, specialists, and family members

Ensure Operational & Clinical Integrity

  • Monitor compliance with clinical standards, protocols, and state/federal regulations
  • Lead quality assurance and infection control efforts
  • Prepare for and participate in external audits, evaluations, or assessments

Optimize Resources for Patient-Centered Outcomes

  • Align staffing models with patient needs and acuity
  • Manage departmental budgets and supplies with efficiency and foresight
  • Introduce tools, systems, and workflows that support better care delivery

Support Families & Build Trust

  • Serve as a point of contact for families with care concerns or questions
  • Promote dignity, independence, and empathy in all resident interactions
  • Build strong relationships that reflect compassion and accountability

โœ… Ideal Candidate

  • Active and unrestricted RN license in Florida (or a desire to apply to apply for FL licensure by endorsement)
  • BSN required; MSN or related graduate degree preferred
  • 5+ years of nursing experience, including at least 2 years in a clinical leadership role serving older adults
  • Strong knowledge of best practices in geriatric care, clinical protocols, and healthcare regulations
  • Confident, organized, and adaptable with excellent communication skills

  • Specialty certification in gerontology or nursing administration
  • Proficiency in using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
