Business Development Partner – Sustainability & ESG


A leading global consultancy is seeking an experienced and commercially astute Business Development Partner to support the continued growth of its Sustainability & ESG services across the UK and Ireland.

This is a senior-level sales role with responsibility for identifying and securing new business opportunities across a broad portfolio of clients, including both existing relationships and new client acquisition. The focus is on consultative, technology-led solutions that support clients in meeting their sustainability goals and regulatory obligations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive sales of sustainability and ESG-related services across multiple industry sectors
  • Lead the development of new opportunities through both demand response and demand creation
  • Build and maintain relationships at senior (including CXO) level within client organisations
  • Shape proposals, business cases, and commercially viable solutions, supported by pre-sales and domain specialists
  • Represent the firm at relevant forums, events, and client workshops
  • Collaborate with solution partners, subject matter experts, and delivery teams to ensure strategic alignment and client satisfaction


Key Requirements:

  • Strong track record in services sales within sustainability and/or ESG domains
  • Experience selling to senior stakeholders, including within large corporate environments
  • Understanding of sustainability reporting, data management, and regulatory frameworks (e.g. SBTi, CSRD, ISSB)
  • Knowledge of digital sustainability solutions such as Net Zero strategies, ESG data, Sustainable IT, and supplier sustainability
  • Familiarity with UK & Ireland market dynamics
  • Prior experience with a global IT services provider is essential
  • Degree qualified


Additional Information:

  • The role is London-based with an expectation to be in-office approx. 3 days per week
  • Occasional domestic and international travel may be required
  • This position reports to the UK&I Head of Sustainability & ESG Business
