General Service Technician / Mechanic – Rack Attack Inspection Process

🕒 Schedule: Full-time, Weekends Required

💰 Pay: $15–$20 per hour (based on experience)

We are hiring a General Service Technician to join the team and perform their proven Rack Attack inspection process that keeps technicians in their bays turning hours while ensuring every vehicle gets a full, professional safety check.

About the Rack Attack Process

As a General Service Technician, you’ll be the first set of hands on incoming vehicles, responsible for a thorough 3-stage inspection:

Under Hood Check

• Inspect fluids, filters, belts, batteries, motor mounts, and visible engine components
• Look for leaks, wear and tear, and potential safety issues

Mid-Rise Check

• Shake wheels to check steering, suspension, and brake systems
• Pull wheels to inspect shocks, struts, brake components, and side engine compartments

High-Rise Check

• Perform a full undercarriage inspection with a flashlight from the front to the back of the vehicle
• Identify leaks, damage, or wear issues that need attention

Responsibilities

• Move cars safely into bays for inspection
• Perform full Rack Attack inspections accurately and consistently
• Document inspection results and communicate findings to the service team
• Support shop flow by ensuring vehicles are ready for technicians to perform needed repairs
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

Qualifications

• Previous automotive experience preferred (general service or technician apprentice level)
• Ability to lift wheels/tires and perform physical inspections
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Team player who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume shop
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
