Job Title: Attorney – U.S. Business Immigration
Location: Redmond, WA (5 days onsite)
Rate: $48-$50/ hour
Duration: Through 6/30/26 (Possibility of extension)
The Attorney will play a critical role in supporting high-volume U.S. business immigration operations. This position involves reviewing non-immigrant and immigrant visa filings, ensuring compliance with U.S. immigration laws, and providing legal guidance to internal teams. The role requires a strong understanding of immigration regulations, attention to detail, and the ability to manage complex legal processes in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Legal Review & Compliance
- Review and approve non-immigrant and immigrant visa filings for accuracy and compliance.
- Conduct remote and onsite legal reviews of case preparation and filings.
- Training & Support
- Train administrative staff on USCIS filings, document processing, and PERM job postings.
- Provide guidance and resolve daily admin questions to ensure legal accuracy.
- Operational Excellence
- Support I-9 completion and E-Verify processes, including complex issue resolution.
- Monitor and train admins on I-9 reverification procedures.
- Process Improvement
- Identify and propose legal process improvements to enhance quality, streamline workflow, and improve employee experience.
- Stakeholder Communication
- Respond to inquiries from visa-dependent employees regarding visa eligibility, travel, and status maintenance.
- Assist managers in understanding PERM requirements during applicant review.
- Root Cause Analysis
- Investigate and resolve legal and operational issues impacting immigration processes.
Measurable Outcomes:
- Maintain 100% compliance with U.S. immigration regulations.
- Achieve daily workflow targets for case preparation and review.
- Deliver timely and accurate responses to employee and manager inquiries.
- Implement at least two process improvement initiatives annually.
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the bar in any U.S. jurisdiction.
- Minimum 1+ years of experience in immigration law (business or family-based).
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience handling high-volume immigration cases.
- Expertise in complex E-Verify issue resolution.
- Prior experience training staff on immigration processes.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements.
