Construction Project Manager


Responsibilities:

  • Lead the full construction lifecycle for ground-up builds and large-scale renovations across multiple states
  • Manage relationships with general contractors, architects, and vendors to ensure quality and accountability
  • Serve as the central point of coordination between real estate, legal, facilities, and operations teams
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to align projects with broader portfolio and growth strategy
  • Review and support negotiation of construction contracts, ensuring favorable terms and risk mitigation
  • Develop and track project schedules and milestones from permitting through final delivery
  • Monitor budgets and proactively address risks to keep projects on track
  • Provide clear, executive-level reporting on project status and performance
  • Ensure all builds meet specialized operational requirements, including healthcare-specific infrastructure (e.g., medical gas systems, specialized HVAC, regulatory considerations)


Qualifications:

  • 7–10+ years of commercial construction management experience, specifically with healthcare facilities.
  • Proven track record managing ground-up construction projects across multiple locations or regions
  • Experience in healthcare or similarly regulated environments strongly preferred
  • Ability to operate as a hands-on individual contributor without internal project support staff
  • Strong understanding of construction documents, scheduling, and project execution
  • Working knowledge of contracts and legal documentation related to construction
  • Proficiency with project management tools and reporting systems
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of an organization
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred
  • Willingness to travel approximately 50%
  • Ability to work on active construction sites in varying conditions
