Accounting Leader/Controller

In this role, working directly with senior leadership, you will streamline & improve accounting processes to provide timely, accurate reporting to support decisions. As a hands-on leader, you will also ensure effective internal controls and regulatory compliance. With success in this role, you will be well-positioned to grow along with our company.


Responsibilities:

In this role, you will manage daily accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, revenue reporting, expense tracking, general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and payroll.


LEAD

  • You will coach & develop our experienced accounting team.
  • You will drive a culture of accuracy, continuous improvement and engagement.


IMPROVE

  • You will identify the improvement opportunities in our accounting & reporting processes necessary to support E-BEAM’s growth & you will ensure timely, effective implementation of those improvements.
  • You will collaborate with other functional leaders to develop & implement plans to drive continued growth as a member of our leadership team.
  • You will collaborate with senior leadership to shape organizational strategy and financial goals.


MAINTAIN

  • You will ensure that E-BEAM’s exemplary record of audit & regulatory compliance continues through personal oversight, process discipline and effective internal controls.
  • You will coordinate directly with external tax, audit and legal partners to leverage their expertise and to keep E-BEAM in line with changes that impact our business.
  • You will support financial planning and forecasting by providing key financial data and variance analysis and you will lead the annual budgeting process.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing or professional services.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and reconciliations.
  • Excellent attention to detail, problem solving ability and experience implementing process improvement.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify financial risks and opportunities and support decision-making.
  • Experience with financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance to ensure accuracy and integrity.
  • Effective communication skills to convey financial insights to leadership and cross-functional teams.
